Learn how to do things you always wanted to do but never had the opportunity to try.
In groups of adventurHERs with similar levels of experience, we'll get you off the ground and teach you the essential skills you need to go farther with your adventures.
All of our trips, long or short, involve education, but these micro adventures are bite-size clinics of skills-focused fun.
THE ADVENTURHER ACTIVITY RATING GUIDE
We want to be sure that you end up on the right trip for you, your skill level, and your physical ability. We've devised the following rating guide for you based on whitewater class ratings, but you're always welcome to call us and discuss these adventures!
Class I: Easy and relaxing with some physical activity.
Class II: Full days of physical activity, but no prior skill needed. Great for beginners!
Class III: Full days of physical activity with prior skill and experience required.
Class IV: Full days of physical activity and type 2 fun! You should be pretty experienced and confident in your abilities in the activities in this level.
Mountain Biking 101 Workshop
We'll spend 2 1/2 hours learning fundamentals in a positive and encouraging environment, covering topics like safety, body positioning, gear, and how to ride well off-road.
Mountain Biking 102 Weekend Clinic
Join us and Minnesotan mountain biking guide and instructor Tara (as well as her husband and business partner, Byron) of North Star Mountain Bike Guides for a women's mountain biking clinic in beautiful Cuyuna, Minnesota! We'll spend the weekend learning skills to take to the trails including safety, body positioning, navigating obstacles, climbing, descending, and cornering in a positive and encouraging environment. This two day clinic will teach us strong mountain biking skills to allow us to explore this exciting sport in a safe, confident way. At night, we’ll relax by a beautiful old mining lake, on the porches of our stilted cabins, or in front of a camp fire.
Essential Outdoor Climbing Skills Clinic
Climbing on real rock is a completely different experience from pulling on plastic in the gym; the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the breeze is gently blowing, and all the holds are on! However, it comes with a new and vast skillset you don’t learn in the gym but is critical for staying safe in an inherently dangerous sport. Join us as we learn the critical skills like anchor building and self rescue for taking our climbing outdoors while spending the weekend at beautiful Shovel Point above the blue waters of Lake Superior.
