Whether you are a rock climber looking for winter fun or you just love the frozen beauty of winter and need a new sport, ice climbing is some crazy fun. We'll learn how to swing ice axes and front points as we scale some of the best ice in the country, but we'll also enjoy a unique and invigorating canopy tour of the White Mountains and a winter bonfire with hot mulled wine or cider.

Every AdventurHER trip is led by a professional guide (trust us, you want someone with a lot of experience to teach you how to swing your pointy bits) and a Dedicated Adventure Manager (our DAM girls) from AdventurHER.

Activity Level: Class II; Involves full days of physical activity, but no prior skills are needed to enjoy this trip!
Lodging: Hotel, prices based on double occupancy.
Included Meals: Breakfasts, lunches, and some dinners.

This trip isn't ready yet, but make sure to let us know you're interested! We'll give you a shout when it's ready, and letting us know which trips you're watching will help us prioritize the trips women are most excited about.

Day One

Once everyone has arrived in North Conway and we've checked into our lodge, we do a quick meet and greet, gear review, and suit up to start our canopy tour! The White Mountains are absolutely majestic in the winter, and our canopy tour is a really fun, unique way to experience the range from about before getting down into it later in the weekend. With 9 zip lines, 3 rappels, sky bridges, and tree platforms, this is one of the more interesting guided "hikes" you'll experience!

That night, we'll have a big AHT dinner with our climbing guides and end the night with a winter bonfire.

Day Two

Our first full day of ice climbing! We'll get fitted for our mountaineering boots and crampons, harnesses, helmets, and pack on our ice axes. After a short hike into the crag, we'll brush up on belaying skills and learn to swing and kick our way up some ice. Ice climbing is tool climbing, and good instruction can save you years of trial and error.

That night, we'll go to the Moat, a local brew pub where all the badass winter crushers hang, and trade stories about our epic adventures that day.

Day Three

For our second day of ice climbing, we'll head up to Frankenstein to practice different techniques and perfect our form on this classic New England ice. You might even run into some of the friends you made at the Moat the night before!

For our final night in the White Mountains, we'll go catch some live music at a local restaurant.

Day Four

After a big, hearty farewell breakfast, we'll part ways with new profile pictures, new skills, and great memories (and probably some sore muscles).
