Class I - II

Spend the day connecting with yourself, nature, and a strong community of women (wtfnb) on this mini-retreat in an old growth forest in Minnesota’s Nerstrand State Park.

To prepare for our hike, we will start with a 45-minute movement and yoga practice. We will spend our time connecting with our body and our breath, exploring various yoga postures and mobility exercises. New to yoga? No problem! This practice is beginner friendly and accessible for everyone.

Then we’ll do a 5 mile loop on the north side of the park through beautiful forests, past the Nerstrand hidden falls, maybe seeing the last of the autumn colors. The hiking in Nerstrand is generally flat and easy, allowing us to cover more ground and enjoy more of this beautiful park, with a few hills to keep our bodies moving. Coming back to the picnic shelter, we’ll have lunch (bring your own) and sit around the fire pit, chatting and enjoying company in the outdoors. After lunch, we’ll head out for a 4 mile loop down on the south side of the park.

Following our hike, we will close with a 45-minute recovery practice which will include gentle stretching, guided breathwork, and meditation. You will leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready to take on a new week!

Activity level: Class I - II; involves full physical activity, but at an easy pace. No prior skill or experience needed.
