Class I - II
6 pm at Carver Lake Park, Woodbury, MN
$60 per class, rental bike available for additional $60 per class
We're joining Minnesotan mountain biking guide and instructor Tara (as well as her husband and business partner, Byron) of North Star Mountain Bike Guides for a beginner's clinic!
We'll spend 2 1/2 hours learning fundamentals in a positive and encouraging environment, covering topics like safety, body positioning, gear, and how to ride well off-road. Skill levels will be assessed at the beginning of each workshop and the clinic will be taught according to the needs and experience of the participants, but this is geared towards beginners!
We'll answer questions like:
What's the most effective way to peddle on rough terrain?
How do I most efficiently work with my bike in various scenarios?
How do I plan mountain biking trips so I don't get in over my head?
As well as important topics like:
How do I stay on my bike in rough terrain?
How do I not hit that rock/tree?
How do I brake without flying over my handlebars?
How do I make sure I come back in one piece and have the most fun possible?
There is limited space available so don't wait to sign up! Cost of this small group skills clinic is $60.
A mountain bike is required for this workshop. Rentals are available for $60.
Location: Carver Lake Park, Woodbury, MN
Activity level: Class I - II; involves full physical activity, but at an easy pace. No prior skill or experience needed.
