Trip Dates: TBD
Class II | Glamping
4 days, 3 Nights
Are you ready for a weekend of adventure in the Adventure Capital of the Southwest with a rad group of strong women? We're bringing our hard-earned fitness outside!
Moab, a little town in Southern Utah, is an adventure lover's paradise. Surrounded by desert, bordered by mountains, cut by the Colorado River, and decorated by beautiful sandstone arches and towers, there's something for every AdventurHER here. This long weekend is focused on the beautiful canyons of the desert, whether we’re climbing the walls or hiking and rappelling down into the deep canyon bottoms to find seemingly impossible oases of life. We'll beat the heat of the day by exploring slot canyons, kayaking, and paddleboarding. We'll experience beautiful desert sunsets on red sandstone with a sunset hike at Dead Horse Point, the most stars and darkest skies you've ever seen, and greet the sunrise with early morning hike.
We'll be staying in glamourous canvas safari tents complete with soft white linens, thick blankets and pillows, and carpeted floors. “Camping” just doesn’t get any more luxurious.
Worried about not having it in you to do some of these activities? Don't let that stop you! Work with Grace to build up fitness to conquer these goals and get Fit for the Trip. Together, we've got this.

We fly into Salt Lake City and make the drive to Moab! After checking into our safari tents and doing a quick meet and greet, we start the trip with stretching our legs on a hike in Arches National Park! We’ll get a stunning ground-level view of the sandstone arches and other geological features before we climb up above and hike down into it later in the weekend. After this, we'll come back into Moab and have a big kick-off dinner.
We'll start bright and early with breakfast and then head out for a full day of climbing and canyoneering! We start by getting comfortable on the rock and with out safety gear by learning to rock climb. If you’ve ever wanted to climb outdoors, there’s no place better than Moab for endless sandstone routes. After lunch, we’ll stop going up and start going down. Utah's canyons are a world unto themselves, and Moab has some of the best canyoneering you’ll find anywhere thanks to deep sandstone canyons cut over thousands of years by water and ice. We’ll head down into the canyons, sometimes hiking, sometimes scrambling, sometimes rappelling, sometimes possibly even swimming, to discover the life in the bottom of the desert. Our adventure begins with a short hike across ancient petrified sand dunes, leading us into a dry rock wash. Quickly the wash turns into a dry waterfall that seems to almost disappear into a rain gutter, which we rappel into to reach the entrance to an amazing grotto.
Now, totally enveloped in a small stone room, whose floor rarely sees the light of day, we exit to find our next challenge: a jaw-dropping rappel into the alluring green canyon below next to an enormous natural stone bridge — the 6th largest natural land bridge in the world! A cool spring-fed stream accompanies us for the rest of this outstanding hike, exiting into the Colorado river corridor.
Today is a day of more canyoneering adventures! We'll be spending the whole day hiking, doing lots of rappelling and navigating canyon obstacles as we search for granaries built by the Ancestral Puebloans, arches, and the occasional natural stone bridge. We’ll see dinosaur tracks, a sweeping secluded arch, and a multitude of shady canyon obstacle-courses, including a short wade through pot-holes. When our canyoneering adventure is through, we'll head out to Dead Horse Point State Park for a sunset hike and picnic, waiting for the stars to come out for our AdventurHER stargazing party. The skies in the desert on dark, moonless nights like the ones we'll have are unbelievable.
On day four, we begin with a sunrise hike and then head into town for a celebratory brunch before we pack up and depart this beautiful weekend of fun and adventure, driving back up to Salt Lake City and flying home. You'll have new photos, adventure stories, memories to last a lifetime -- and we bet you'll catch some sleep on the plane!
